Wake ugly. Drink coffee.
Loud espresso, slow pour-overs, and warm pastries pulled before the sun does its job. A coffee shop on Hennepin.
01 / On bar this week
Sidamo, washed.
Tastes like a clean punch to the face.
A new Ethiopian lot landed last Tuesday. We're pulling it as a 1:2.4 espresso and a Kalita pour-over. Bergamot, white peach, a stupid long finish. Limited to about three weeks.

02 / Why we exist
We make the morning
less of a problem.
You roll out of bed looking like a damp envelope. We don't care. Order at the counter, say something rude about Monday, take your coffee, go.
No latte art lectures. No flavor-wheel pop quizzes. Just a small bar in Uptown pulling shots that are louder than your alarm clock.

"I came in wearing two different shoes. Nobody mentioned it. The cortado was perfect. 10/10 social contract."

"The pour-over tasted like the inside of a peach. I don't know what they're doing back there. I'm scared. I'll be back tomorrow."
Marcus D.Loring Park -
"They sold me a hoodie and a bag of beans and didn't ask me about my morning routine. Best customer service in Minneapolis."
